Organisers of the family-friendly event, which will take place at Duxmore Farm between 6th-10th August, have this evening (Thursday) revealed the main line up - but insist there are even more acts still to come! Perfect pop dynamo Ella Eyre takes main stage pole position on the Saturday night of this year's Great Wonderfest. On Sunday, grab your dancing shoes when dance music legends Faithless (DJ Set) performs ahead of a spectacular fireworks finale. The Friday night headliner is still to be announced... HRVY, Goldie, Martin Kemp and Terry Hall will also appear across the weekend, alongside Judge Jules, Dub Pistols, The Cuban Brothers, Mini Ravers, Drum n Brunch, Russ Cuban & Archerio. The Island’s number one singing sensation Lauren Hibberd takes the inaugural Rising Star spot that shines a light on the very best new talent Great Wonderfest can find with rough and ready rapper Levi Collins, SBTV alumnus Aaron Unknown, Portsmouth’s bluesy altrocker Crstian TR, and island D&B upstart Just Eden also showcasing their considerable talents across the weekend. Ziggy Gilsenan, Great Wonderfest Promoter, says: “We are super-excited to launch the second edition of Great Wonderfest! It a handcrafted family music festival, so a whole lot of love has gone into curating the show, making sure we’ve got something for everyone. And it’s been a family affair all the way, with the kids getting stuck into helping us plan it, too. “Great Wonderfest is designed for families with kids of all ages not forgetting parents and grandparents who fancy a bit of a day of it, or even a big night out festival style! With Ella Eyre, Faithless and Martin Kemp alongside Hacker T Dog and Basil Brush, we know we’re going to have as much fun when we return to our beautiful Duxmore Farm home this summer as we’ve had putting it all together. We hope you can join us”. The music won’t be the only thing that goes boom-boom though as high jinks are guaranteed with children’s entertainment giant Basil Brush. CBBC’s canine superstar Hacker T Dog will appear with sidekick Dodge and Hey Duggee will meet and greet the crowds at intervals throughout the day on Sunday. Former Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood makes a triumphant return to Great Wonderfest as Friday’s main stage host, TV & Radio presenter Katie Thistleton is Saturday’s essential emcee, Radio 1 legend Scott Mills is on hand to host proceedings on Sunday and ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway?’ star Stephen Frost will preside over affairs all weekend long.
